All Bundled Up...

We woke up this morning to ~SNOW~!!! We were so excited to get Bradley all bundled up so we could play in the snow!  Well, it didn't really go as planned.  I guess now I should know that things don't always "go as planned" when you have kids.  Bradley doesn't really like to be bundled up in the first place and hates anything on his head!  We thought maybe once he gets outside and sees the snow he will forget about having all the bulky layers on.  WRONG!  He was already upset that I put mittens on him, then when I put a beenie on him there was no turning back.  Needless to say, we didn't play at all!  He still cried for about 10 minutes after we took all his layers off and got back inside (he's a little dramatic).  Good thing we don't live somewhere that it snows all the time or we would have a big problem.  Maybe next time!

New Haircut and Scrape on the head...

Bradley needed a haircut so bad!!! He looked like a clown... it was literally was sticking out in all directions, I couldn't control it.  We had time after washing the cars yesterday so we headed out to get the little man's hair cut.  I couldn't believe how much hair he really had.  Now he has a big boy haircut and looks so old!

Please don't grow up Mr. B!

Oh ya... there is his battle scar on his forehead.

Helping Daddy Wash the Car...

It was such a nice day yesterday, almost 70 degrees!!! It has been so cold here lately we have been needing some warm weather! After Bradley's Dentist appointment Daddy decided to wash the cars. I put B in a pair of his swim trunks and let him help Daddy! He had a blast splashing in the water and carrying around the car wash and scrub brushes. He even helped out actually washing the car! When they were finished drying the car and windexing the windows Bradley decided to give Daddy a little trouble... he was on the ground by the hose and his foot hit the handle on the hose in just the right way and in the right direction that he made a water fountain! I just happened to catch a picture of the whole thing! The car was all wet again! After that I was just about to take him inside when he decided to be a boy and trip and fall! He's okay, but he got a pretty big scrape on his forehead! It didn't even faze him... he cried more at the dentist than he did when Daddy scrubbed his scrape with soap and water.

Bradley's First Dentist Appointment

Yesterday was B's FIRST Dentist Appointment! The Pediatric Dentist was so great with Bradley! We were kind of bummed out because only one of us could go back with him. I only was able to take 1 picture, but I guess less distraction is better. Bradley got to sit in my lap while the dentist checked him out. She really explained everything she was going to do and sang to Bradley while she cleaned his teeth. The singing really didn't help at all, but I thought it was a nice gesture. She checked all his little teeth that are coming in, cleaned his 12 teeth, and gave him a fluoride treatment. I was really concerned about the bruising on his upper gums, but she said it was nothing to worry about... his molars will be coming in soon! She also told me his bottom teeth are a little close so we may need to start flossing sooner with him and watch out for crowding! The appointment was done after a whole long 15 minutes... it was so quick! Bradley got his goody bag filled with a toothbrush, toy, floss, and a mouth rest to look in his mouth. All in all it was a good appointment and he goes back in 6 months!

Here is a pic before the dentist came in ...

Doesn't he looked thrilled... haha!

Another Diaper Cake...

I Finally actually made this Diaper Cake I had been planning on making for months now... My girlfriend is due in February and we are getting together to have a mini baby shower.  I am so excited to give it to her!  I didn't get to make any flower headbands or hair bows this time, but I still had fun!

Bradley's Stocking...

I was just looking at Bradley's Christmas pictures from this year and last and realized... In this years picture you can see the stocking on the mantle that he could fit into last year.  My baby has grown so much!  It almost makes me want to cry.

13 Months

The Many Faces of Mr. B
Our little man turned 13 months old yesterday and is quite a funny little guy! He has a huge personality and isn't afraid to show it. He loves to be the center of attention, and definitely lives up to his Astrological Sign!

Sagittarius: a happy-go-lucky kid who is always on the move, and who from a young age will bounce around the house with a skip in his step and a song on his lips. This is an adaptable kid who will accept and even embrace change readily, and who will be the first out the door when the family is planning a trip. He will live his little life with reckless abandon, exploring, discovering, and pushing his boundaries every waking hour, with his exasperated parents always a step behind.
We are definitely always a step behind! Although he is a very busy little guy, he is so much fun! I decided to follow him around with a camera yesterday before we left for the grocery store. This is what I got in less than 5 minutes.
The "I'm Cool" face.

Happy Face...

The "What happened" face.

The Serious Face...
His NEW, and my FAV The "Uh Oh" Face.
What Mr. B has been up to since his Birthday...

  • He weighs about 21 lbs.

  • Fits into a size 6 shoe (he seriously has huge feet!)

  • 12-18 month clothes

  • Wakes up happy in the morning and after naps now instead of waking up crying.

  • He has added new Animal sounds to his vocabulary... Tweet, Tweet for a birdie. Duck, Duck for Duck instead of Quack.

  • Has added new body parts... He knows his hands, feet, tummy, and belly button.

  • He loves to chase mommy and daddy in circles around the house... especially around his ball pit. It just cracks him up!

  • He can make a basket on his big boy hoop.

  • Before bedtime he loves to pick a book out to read and then bring it over to us and sit in the rocking chair for story time.

  • His Favorite Books lately have been... Brown Bear (of course), The Very Quiet Cricket, The Three Bears, The Very Hungry Caterpillar, and his new Elmo Take me to the Ballgame book.

  • Just to get him in his car seat we have to give him a treat... he hates to be strapped in!

  • He doesn't like to ride in shopping carts, so we have to take the stroller into the store with us!

  • Can sit quietly in his pack and play for a little while for mommy and daddy to get things done around the house.

  • Loves his "Scout" puppy. It is the cutest thing. It knows his name, fav color, fav food, fav animal and sings songs!
We just love him to pieces and can't get enough!

Merry Christmas

Daddy got home Christmas morning and we opened presents!!! B just loved his GIANT Lego Blocks! We had a pretty relaxing morning, then it was time to cook! This was Christmas dinner #2 for me to make all by myself in our First house! Grandma, Grandpa and Uncle Austin came over a little later and we opened more gifts and had a yummy dinner! It was so nice to be with family for the Holidays!

Christmas Eve

Christmas Eve was just me and B... daddy was at work. We were happy that at least his shift didn't fall on Christmas this year! Bradley and I watched Mickey Christmas shows and listened to Christmas music all night long. I let him open his one gift on Christmas eve, normally it would be Jammies, but he got those early from Grandma. He decided he wanted to open one of his gifts from Great Grandma (Mickey sing-a-long and two books)! He loved them, but he seemed more interested in the bow and then just ran around the house with one piece of wrapping paper he had ripped off of his present. He was so cute!
We had a fun night, but we did miss daddy.
