The Museum and Bradley's New Ride!

We had a fun Memorial Day weekend... Went to the Museum for the second time, and B liked it so much more this time. He was still afraid of the sheep though....BAAAAA! He was a little more hands on this time around. His favorite parts were... feeling the Red Wolves fur and skull, banging on the drums and crawling around the play area!

Today we decided to get Bradley a walker. He is all over, we might be able to get a little more done around the house if we have him in the walker so he can still move around! He loves it, but it moves a little better on the wood.

Oh yeah... We are waiting for his little tooth to come in! We can see a little bit of his bottom chomper!

We are so proud of Daddy!

Last night Bradley and I were able to watch daddy as he was celebrated along with other paramedics and firefighters for the lives they saved in 2008! There were 70 lives brought back to life in Wake County last year and Greg saved 2 of those! The night was so emotional as we were able to hear the stories of the survivors. One story in particular of a 5 year old boy who's heart stopped 3 times was saved! The night just reminded us all of how thankful we are for family and friends and to not take one day for granted. Give back, forgive, and do not regret a day in your life!

The Parable of Good Samaritan

Luke 10:30-37

Jesus answered, "A certain man was going down from Jerusalem to Jericho, and he fell among robbers, who both stripped him and beat him, and departed, leaving him half dead. By chance a certain priest was going down that way. When he saw him, he passed by on the other side. In the same way a Levite also, when he came to the place, and saw him, passed by on the other side. But a certain Samaritan, as he traveled, came where he was. When he saw him, he was moved with compassion, came to him, and bound up his wounds, pouring on oil and wine. He set him on his own animal, and brought him to an inn, and took care of him. On the next day, when he departed, he took out two denarii, and gave them to the host, and said to him, ‘Take care of him. Whatever you spend beyond that, I will repay you when I return.’ Now which of these three do you think seemed to be a neighbor to him who fell among the robbers?" He said, "He who showed mercy on him." Then Jesus said to him, "Go and do likewise."

My Sweet Pea!

Bradley is eating solids like a little champ! He is too cute for words. We started him out on rice cereal, which has been a flop from the start. He eats it but he makes a sour face every time! I decided to try another food to see if it was just the cereal or if he just wasn't ready for solids yet. I decided to try sweet potatoes... I thought it would be sweet enough, but still a veggie. He absolutely loved them! By the third night eating sweet potatoes he was grabbing the jar wanting every last bite! I have been trying peas for the last three days and he likes them too! Today Bradley was watching me eat yogurt at lunch and was trying to grab for my spoon. I ate all the yogurt off the spoon and pretended to feed him... he wanted to eat! So, I got out those peas and fed Mr. B a lunch full of peas! He loved it, it was too cute! After lunch we decided to play a little B-ball. I am telling you... he is growing up way too fast!

First Tornado Warning of the Season...

Tuesday afternoon as I was driving home from work Greg had called me to warn me there was a tornado spotted over Jordan lake (20 min south of where I work) and that It was headed towards me. I was stuck in a little traffic so I started to get a tad freaked out. I could see the dark clouds behind me and I started to think of different escape routes. The traffic broke up and I made it home safely, but the storm followed me all the way home. About an hour after I got home a funnel cloud was reported on the news right over where we live! I was in panic mode... I had Bradley in the Baby Bjorn, the dogs on their leash, bags packed, water, pillows, blankets and everything else all under the staircase. We were all hiding under the staircase as I was thinking of the worse case scenario... our house was going to be blown away! Well, I am happy to tell you... there was no touch down!!!! We are all safe, but Greg did take some cool pics...

umm yeah... that looks pretty scary to me!

I am going to have my hands full!

This is a little video I took of Bradley crawling...

He is no longer scooting at all! He has decided he doesn't want to stay on his blanket in the middle of the floor playing with his toys. He wants to explore! Anything that has buttons or looks shiny he loves. Today I walked in to the kitchen to make myself lunch, and guess who was right behind me? Mr. Bradley, just about 10 knees behind.

The Little Big Man

Bradley loves to try new tricks in the nude. I really believe that if he had the choice to stay naked all day long he would love it, and probably be walking by now! Well, maybe not actually walking, but I am always wanting the camera to capture something new and exciting right when he gets out of the bath. The top three things that make this child happy is waking up in the morning, being on the changing table, and bath time/towel time. One of the tricks he has mastered now is Sitting! He balances himself when we set him down and he even pushes himself up to sit! He is also crawling... he is all over the place half the time crawling then he gets tired so he scoots himself. I can't believe my little BIG Man!
